    Pierce with the MEC hotline for Thursday, July 22nd. Tonight’s topics are:


    The response rate to the Contract 2000 surveys has been good. However, we would like the
    entire pilot group to participate in this very important step in the negotiation process.
    Pilots who still have not returned their Contract 2000 surveys are strongly encouraged to
    do so immediately. Your feedback is very important and will be used to determine the
    contract goals and priorities of the Negotiating Committee.

    A new issue of Table Talk, the newsletter of the Negotiating Committee, is
    now at the printers. The issue will be mailed to pilots’ home addresses by the end of
    July. Please be sure to include the new issue in your Contract 2000 binder.

    If you have not yet completed and returned your fatigue survey from the Central Air Safety
    Committee, please do so as soon as possible. Pilots are asked to return the survey by
    August 1st. The surveys may be returned via the ALPA box in the PHX crew
    lounge, or by mail to the MEC office.

    The next Local Council meeting will be held Monday, July 26th, from 6pm to
    10pm, at the Best Western Grace Inn. The Grace Inn is located at the southwest corner of
    I-10 and Elliot Rd. in Chandler. Members in good standing are strongly encouraged to
    attend.
