Trip Tagging
2. PRACTICAL
APPLICATION
Can a
pilot be notified of a re-route at his overnight hotel?
Yes.
If there is a change to the pilots pairing, the pilot may be re-routed
in accordance with Sec.2, Sec.25.R, and Sec.25. S. Crew scheduling should make
the required phone call referenced in Sec.25.R so as not to interrupt the
pilots normal sleep cycle.
Can a
pilot be notified of a re-route in the jetway?
Yes. If the assignment complies with
the re-route provisions outlined in Sec.2 and Sec.25 of the CBA.
No. If the arrival in PHX is your
last segment, the trip tagging procedure outlined in System Board decision
AWA-2-95GG applies.
Can a
pilot be tagged at the end of his trip upon arrival in PHX?
Yes. The company must follow the
procedures outlined by the trip tagging System Board decision AWA-2- 95GG.
Could a
trip tag force a pilot into a 5-day trip?
No. A pilot may only be tagged at
the completion of the last segment of his pairing in PHX, and the tag may
only be for a turnaround which is scheduled to return the pilot to domicile
within four [4] hours of his originally scheduled return time. The tag must
comply with the provisions outlined in the trip tagging System Board decision
AWA-2-95GG.
Can crew
scheduling junior assign a pilot to fly over 90 hours?
No. There are no circumstances,
which allow a pilot to be junior assigned over 90 hours.
Can a
downgraded captain fly as a captain after the bid period begins but before
right seat dependency training occurs?
No. The pilots bid position is FO
and that pilot does not have the seniority to hold a captain vacancy and may
therefore not fly as a captain. The collective bargaining agreement
provisions regarding pay for downgraded pilots do not override the seniority
provisions of Sec.22.A.4.
Are
furloughed pilots allowed to fly as an AWA crewmember after a pilot has been
furloughed?
No. Sec.22.A.4.
