The results of the
LEC election have been tabulated by ALPA National. Here are the vote counts.
For Captain representative:
Jack Ryan received 614 votes
David Chambless received 566 votes
Bob Ewert received 243 votes
Mike Martin received 189 votes
Others received 37 votes
Jack Ryan and David Chambless will be the new Captain
representatives.
For First Officer representative:
Eric Durnal received 558 votes
Gary Bakewell received 536 votes
Dale Cooke received 270 votes
Bill Archer received 207 votes
Others received 9 votes
Eric Durnal and Gary Bakewell will be the new First Officer
representatives.
For Secretary/Treasurer:
Michael Calabrese received 615 votes
Richard Mitchell received 209 votes
Others received 2 votes
Michael Calabrese will be the new Secretary/Treasurer
1186 pilots were eligible to vote. 858 ballots were
returned for a voter turnout of 72.3%
The MEC would like to commend the pilot group on an
outstanding voter turnout. The 72.3% turnout contrasts very favorably with the 14% turnout
for the nominations for this same election.
The MEC would like to thank all the candidates for their
time and effort in this election process, and congratulate the winners.
