Ballots were counted today at ALPA Herndon in the scheduling side
letter ratification election, and in the election for MEC chairman. The results are as
follows:

America West pilots voted to ratify the three scheduling
side letters by a margin of 54%. Three hundred ninety pilots voted in favor of the side
letters; 328 pilots voted against. Again, the side letters passed by 54%.

The pilot group has officially ratified the side letters in
a balloted election. We still await official notification from management as to their
intentions.

In the ballot count for MEC chairman, Captain Don Steinman
has been re-elected for the term commencing March 1st with 452 votes or 75%. First Officer
Darcy Pierce remains MEC Vice-chairman with 146 votes.
